As a Landscape Gardener at Chester Grove Garden Services, you will play a key role in maintaining and enhancing outdoor environments through high-quality horticultural and landscaping services. This position requires strong practical landscaping skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering excellent customer service. Key Responsibilities and Duties: Interpret landscaping plans, site requirements, and client requests to carry out gardening and landscape maintenance projects effectively. Prepare garden beds and outdoor areas through soil improvement, fertilising, mulching, and ground conditioning to support healthy plant growth. Install, maintain, and care for lawns, trees, shrubs, hedges, flowers, and other garden features across residential and commercial properties. Perform regular garden maintenance duties including lawn mowing, edging, pruning, trimming, weed management, and seasonal garden clean-ups. Apply fertilisers, pest control treatments, and plant care solutions to maintain healthy and visually appealing landscapes. Install and maintain irrigation systems and watering solutions to promote efficient water usage and plant health. Operate and maintain landscaping equipment, power tools, and machinery safely and efficiently. Assist with soft landscaping and garden improvement works, including planting projects, turf preparation, mulching, and landscape rejuvenation. Provide friendly and professional customer service by communicating with clients regarding garden care recommendations and maintenance requirements. Follow workplace health and safety procedures and ensure all gardening and landscaping activities comply with industry standards and site regulations. Qualifications and Skills: Relevant qualification; Minimum 1 year experience in a comparable landscape and garden maintenance position. Extensive knowledge of landscape design principles and practical implementation. Skilled in operating landscaping tools and equipment effectively and safely. Genuine passion for plants and gardening, paired with a strong sense of design and visual aesthetics. Exceptional customer service abilities and flexibility to work autonomously or collaboratively. Salary: This is a full-time position with competitive remuneration between $75,000 - $85,000 p.a. plus superannuation for a 38-hour work week.
