Salary: $78,767 (CWT4), $81,586 (CWT5) or $84,779 (CWT6) per annum (FTE) plus superannuation 9-day fortnight Study/professional development opportunities Based at: North Plympton What you'll do: Working within our Parks and Gardens team you will provide effective, efficient and high-quality horticulture services to the community and clients of the City of West Torrens. This role will see you undertake a variety of tasks on a daily basis, focusing primarily on general horticulture maintenance duties such as: Grass cutting, weed eradication, fertilising and landscaping Planting, mulching, watering, pruning of streetscapes, feature landscapes, roadside verges, parks and reserve area Development of biodiversity sites Tree planting and minor pruning Minor irrigation and turf/sports fields maintenance Broadacre mowing Who you are: As this role is hands on, it's important that you have the capacity to undertake manual work. You'll need to have great communication skills (both written and verbal), be dependable, motivated and have a high standard of Work, Health and Safety for you and your colleagues. You must also have the minimum essential qualifications and/or relevant experience as per the following: Essential qualifications for Salary Level CWT 4: Demonstrated competencies in all activities in a similar role with no formal relevant qualification (Level CWT4). Essential qualifications for Salary Level CWT 5: Certificate III or Trade qualifications in Horticulture or demonstrated competencies in all activities in a similar role (Level CWT5). Experience in landscaping, biodiversity and general horticulture works. Hold a minimum of Certificate III in a relevant field or a higher-level qualification.
