Our Family and Domestic Violence services in Kalgoorlie support women and children experiencing family violence through a culturally safe, trauma-informed approach. Working collaboratively with local partners, we provide coordinated support to help people increase safety, access services, and rebuild their lives. About the Role We are seeking an experienced and passionate Senior Safety Advocate to provide leadership and practice guidance within our Family and Domestic Violence team in Kalgoorlie. This role combines client advocacy with team leadership, supporting women and children experiencing family violence while providing supervision and practice support to Safety Advocates and other team members. Key responsibilities include: Providing practice guidance, supervision, and support to Safety Advocates Coordinating weekly intake and case review meetings Undertaking intake, risk assessments, and needs assessments Supporting and advocating for women and children to maintain safety Coordinating referrals and making warm referrals to partner services Overseeing case management strategies aligned with the WA FDV Common Risk Assessment and Risk Management Framework Ensuring services are culturally safe, trauma-informed, and person-centred Maintaining accurate case documentation, reports, and data records What’s on Offer $100,776.00 per annum superannuation $15,900.00 salary packaging benefits available $5,500.00 regional allowance per annum 38 hours per week in Kalgoorlie Fixed-term, full-time role - End date is currently 30/06/2026 with high possibility of long-term extension (subject to funding) Discounts with a major health insurance provider Access to a confidential employee counselling service Supportive team environment focused on collaboration and continuous learning You’ll Need A Social Services degree or diploma or significant relevant experience Strong cultural knowledge, skills, and community networks Experience working with family and domestic violence, including survivors and men who use violence Strong leadership, case management, and advocacy skills Desirable: Experience working with the WA Family and Domestic Violence Common Risk Assessment and Risk Management Framework Knowledge of Equal Opportunity principles in service delivery Pre-employment requirements: Current Driver’s Licence Working With Children Check National Police Clearance (within 3 months) Next Steps If you’re shortlisted, we’ll contact you for a phone conversation and may invite you to an interview either online or at our Kalgoorlie office.
