Qualifications and Experience RSA Qualification in hospitality industry (preferred) At least 1 year of relevant work experience Strong understanding of workplace and health and safety. Proven Management experience working in hospitality/ customer service environment Exhibit a strong passion for fine food wine; Technical product knowledge in food and wine; Understanding of budgets and forecasting. Basic Microsoft office skills; Knowledge of POS and end of day reconciliation procedures; High attention to detail and accuracy; Ability to retain information; Friendly and professional manner; Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills. Tasks Ensure restaurant is presented to an impeccable standard at all times Collaborate with Head Chef to produce and appealing and unique menu; Assist, where required, with the planning and setting up of functions Ensure events and functions are executed in accordance with the event order; Ensure compliance with licensing and hygiene legislation/guidelines Meet with suppliers and negotiate better deals where possible; Ensure restaurant operation and financial objectives are met; Build strong partnerships with industry professionals, local business and return clientele; Ensure optimum ordering of stock and assist in conducting accurate stock takes Undertake Food and Beverage attendant duties when required to meet the needs and demands of the restaurant Maximize and identify opportunities to sell products and experiences that suit the needs of our guests. Remain aware of industry trends Work productively within your rostered hours and are flexible to work additional hours to meet the needs of the business Attend any training and meetings as required All other duties as required by Management.
