Our client is currently seeking a qualified and motivated Painter to join their expanding team. This role presents an excellent opportunity to work on a diverse range of painting projects, including commercial properties, new constructions, and renovations. The ideal candidate will possess solid experience across all facets of painting, a keen eye for detail, and a strong commitment to achieving high-quality finishes. Position Responsibilities and Tasks: Prepare various surfaces for painting by thoroughly cleaning, sanding, filling holes, and repairing cracks to guarantee a smooth and even application. Accurately mix and match paint colours and finishes according to client specifications and project requirements. Utilize a variety of application techniques, including brushing, rolling, and spraying, to apply paints, stains, varnishes, and other coatings, ensuring a high-quality and professional result. Safely erect and utilize scaffolding and ladders, and implement protective measures to cover and protect furniture and flooring during painting activities. Conduct minor repairs to surfaces made of wood, plaster, and other materials prior to the application of paint. Collaborate effectively with site supervisors and other team members to ensure projects are completed on schedule and to the required quality standards. Maintain all painting tools and equipment in good working order and ensure that work areas are kept clean and tidy. Adhere strictly to all relevant safety and environmental regulations during all work activities. Conduct thorough final inspections of completed paintwork to identify and rectify any imperfections or deficiencies. Qualifications and Skills: Relevant qualifications Minimum of one year of experience working as a Painter or in a similar role. Comprehensive knowledge of painting tools, materials, techniques, and established safety procedures within the industry. Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and as a collaborative member of a team across various job locations. Exceptional attention to detail results in consistently superior quality finishes. Well-developed communication and problem-solving abilities.Top of Form Salary: This is a full-time position with competitive remuneration between: $75,000 - $95,000 p.a. plus superannuation for a 38-hour work week.
