About The Role The Senior Project Officer, Learning and Development is responsible for initiating, coordinating, and delivering multiple professional learning programs that build capability across site-based non-teaching staff, corporate teams, and executives within the Department for Education. The role ensures high-quality, impactful programs by planning and managing learning initiatives, fostering strong stakeholder relationships, and implementing processes that support participant engagement. The Senior Project Officer, Learning and Development drives continuous improvement and maintains alignment with organisational priorities through regular monitoring, analysis and auditing of project operations. The role guides the work of a team of consultants to deliver programs and services within agreed timeframes and budgets, and to source and engage high quality, cost-effective professional learning providers. Qualifications Essential: Nil Desirable: Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, Diploma of Project Management Special conditions The successful applicant is required to gain a Department for Human Services (DHS) working with children check (WWCC) prior to being employed which is required to be renewed every five years before expiry. The incumbent will be required to undertake RRHAN –EC (Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect - Education Care) Facilitator Lead (Masterclass) extended course or the online (Fundamentals) course which will be required to be updated every three years.
