About The Role The Director, Strategy and Coordination, is an integrator and an enabler in supporting the development of, and delivery against, the Department's strategic agenda through the facilitation of departmental effort which achieves our strategic intent. Having line of sight and a leadership role in delivering the Government's priorities and the department's overarching strategy, the Director has strong relationships into the Office for the Minister of Education, Training and Skills, the Senior Executive Group and functional leads aiding the effective strategic planning, prioritisation and coordination of the department's priorities. The Director also has a portfolio of responsibility that responds to the changing needs of the Public Education System and in support of the requirements and expectations of the Chief Executive and Senior Executive Group. This will require working directly to and with senior executives, the Minister and his staff, as well as senior parts of Government to enable our strategic intent and support the department's effectiveness. As such, the Director coordinates effort and is entrusted to provide advice and guidance to executives and senior officers. The Director Strategy and Coordination will also facilitate priority strategic policy and project initiatives on behalf of SEG and the CE using time limited agile approaches. The incumbent will be required to undertake RRHAN –EC (Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect - Education Care) Facilitator Lead (Masterclass) extended course or the online (Fundamentals) course which will be required to be updated every three years.
