The Roster This is one permanent role working 69 hours per fortnight with a predictable schedule. Chef shifts (40 hours per fortnight) Week 1: Wednesday and Thursday Week 2: Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday Catering support shifts (29 hours per fortnight) Every Friday and Saturday No late nights Consistent fortnightly pattern Great work–life balance What You’ll Be Doing Preparing and cooking nutritious meals for aged care residents Supporting meal service and plating for breakfast, lunch and dinner Catering to dietary requirements and food preferences Maintaining food safety, hygiene and WHS standards Assisting with stock control and kitchen operations Working collaboratively with catering staff and care teams This role suits a Chef or Cook who enjoys variety, teamwork and cooking food that genuinely makes a difference to people’s day. About You Trade qualified (Cert III or IV in Commercial Cookery, or equivalent experience) Experience in a commercial kitchen (aged care, health, hospitality or large‑scale catering desirable) Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene practices Reliable, team‑focused and resident‑centred in your approach Police Check (or willingness to obtain) A Queensland Driver Licence is required.
