What's the role? Seeking an experienced Presenter/Reporter to present news bulletins and programming on FOX SPORTS News in a manner that engages the viewer. In this role you will actively engage in the editorial process, including writing and cutting content, preparing interviews and material and report in the field, where required. Key Responsibilities: Present news bulletins on FOX SPORTS News in an engaging manner Present FOX SPORTS News updates on Sky News Australia Conduct live on-air interviews with reporters and guests Be prepared and able to host live unscripted coverage during a breaking news event Research and prepare for on-air segments Work as part of a team in the production process including writing, editing and producing content Work as a reporter, where required, including building inhouse packages and reporting in the field Pitch original story ideas Work with the Supervising Producer on shift to manage on-air commitments, voiced packages and other content requirements for the channel Effectively communicate with studio crew and producers Complete and comply with all News Corp and ANC policies, including ANC’s Social Media Policy and News Corp Global Standards Reporting any breaches of News Corp or ANC policies to the relevant parties Rostered work to meet the demands of a 24/7 newsroom Who are you? Minimum 4 years in a newsroom setting Confidence in a live, on-air setting (experience in news presenting preferred) In-depth knowledge and understanding of a wide variety of sports and the ability to articulate it for an on-air audience Skilled in writing, editing and producing news content Skilled in conducting live on-air interviews Experience using news software, including editing programs Excellent news sense Ability to work as part of a team and actively contribute to the production process Why News Corp Australia Join a culture where innovation is our operating rhythm.
