Introduction The Engineering Institute of Technology (EIT) is seeking a passionate, energetic and hands-on STEM Bootcamp Lead to design, deliver and scale immersive engineering bootcamps for high school students. This is not a traditional teaching role. You’ll lead practical, high-impact workshops in Perth, coordinating programs nationally, and travelling across Western Australia to connect students to real engineering pathways. About the Role: You will be the face of EIT’s school engagement initiative - delivering immersive STEM bootcamps that spark curiosity and inspire students to pursue engineering careers. Key responsibilities: Deliver engaging, hands-on STEM/engineering bootcamps at our Perth campus Coordinate and support delivery of bootcamps at our campuses in Melbourne and Brisbane Travel regularly across regional Western Australia to run workshops at schools and community hubs Design and continuously improve engaging, practical learning experiences aligned to real-world engineering Develop structured bootcamp modules, kits, and facilitator guides for scalability Manage end-to-end workshop logistics (equipment, setup, safety, scheduling, travel) Ensure all sessions meet safety, compliance, and risk management standards Represent EIT at school visits, events, expos, career events and outreach initiatives Collaborate with marketing to capture and showcase your journey (video, social content, storytelling) Build strong relationships with schools, teachers, and key stakeholders (eg. Scitech) Track engagement metrics and contribute to program evaluation and improvement Support the development of a clear student pathway from Bootcamps into EIT courses (short courses to degrees) Who We Are Looking For: This role is ideal for someone who loves teaching, presenting, and making complex ideas simple and exciting. You might be: A teacher (or ex-teacher) looking for a more dynamic, hands-on role An engineer with a passion for education, mentoring or outreach An international engineering graduate with post-study work rights A migrant engineer looking to build local experience and make meaningful impact What You Will Be Working With Hands-on engineering kits (e.g. robotics, electrical, mechanical systems) Practical problem-solving challenges and design activities Basic coding, simulation, or demonstration tools AV and presentation tools for interactive delivery Desired Experience and Skills: A background in engineering, STEM, or a related field Strong presentation and communication skills, especially with young audiences The ability to simplify complex concepts into engaging, practical experiences A practical, hands-on approach to learning (not just theory) Confidence working independently and travelling regularly Strong organisational and coordination skills A willingness to be on camera and part of storytelling/content Adaptable and able to think on your feet Resilient and solution-oriented in dynamic environments A valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel extensively across WA Must have a Working with Children (WWC) card or be willing to obtain one Why Join EIT?
