We’re on the lookout for a motivated Graduate Technical Engineer to join our Engineering team in Truganina. This is a fantastic opportunity to kick-start your career through a structured 18-month graduate program , gaining hands-on experience across a diverse range of engineering and compliance activities. Upon completion, you will then be transitioned into a Technical Engineer position. In this role, you’ll support the delivery of safe, compliant equipment for the Australasian market, while building your technical capability across agricultural, construction, and OEM products. Key accountabilities include, but are not limited to: With instruction and guidance (as required), provide information and advice on technical engineering matters for a variety of Kubota products Generate reports and other technical documents to communicate requirements With supervision and instruction, participate in FMEA activities Participate in risk assessments and collaborate with team members to use appropriate measures to mitigate or control hazards and any residual risk Build professional relationships and protocols including with internal stakeholders, dealers and customers Escalate identified technical engineering and/or compliance matters to a more senior team member or Engineering Manager and/or external bodies (as appropriate) With direction and instruction or guidance and supervision (as appropriate), undertake engineering activities on Agriculture, Construction and OEM products Ensure all Engineering activity undertaken meets policy, procedure, legislative/ regulatory requirements Undertake other duties within the limits of knowledge, skill and experience (as directed). Support other team members with engineering activities on Kubota AG, CE and OEM products (as directed) Take all reasonable steps to ensure the safety of self, team and others in the workplace, including consumers of work outputs. Follow all OHS policies and procedures for Engineering type work and in employment. Requirements Your resume would likely include: Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Mechatronics or Automotive) Certification/ ticket/license to operate construction equipment and agricultural machinery (as required) Valid Driver’s license Ability to travel nationally and internationally (as required) Demonstrate an understanding of Australian and New Zealand Standards and OHS/WHS legislation relating to construction equipment and agricultural machinery Knowledge of how to conduct hazard and risk assessments on construction equipment and agricultural machinery Knowledge in interpreting electrical and hydraulic circuit diagrams Experience safely using a range of hand and power tools Well developed interpersonal skills. Developing relationship management capability in relation to building networks with internal and external stakeholders Well developed communication skills, including written communication with exposure to technical writing and report writing Strong analytical and conceptual skill Attention to detail Experience in the use of a range of applications, including the MS Office Suite/ Google Suite, CAD software (Solidworks/ Onshape) IMPORTANT TO NOTE Kubota is committed to achieving a diverse workforce.
