We are seeking a passionate, organised, and forward-thinking Educational Leader/2IC to join our team at Montgomery Park Children’s Centre. In this dynamic role, you’ll play a key part in shaping high-quality educational programs while coaching and mentoring a team of dedicated educators. Please note that this position will involve a combination of both in-ratio and out-of-ratio duties and supports. What You’ll Be Doing Your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to the following: Work as the Educational Leader, guiding the development of engaging, play-based learning programs tailored to children’s strengths and interests Mentoring and coaching educators to create authentic, high-quality documentation of children’s learning and development Foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment for all children Work collaboratively with families and the wider community to enhance outcomes for children Ensure compliance with National Quality Standards, relevant legislation, and Council policies Balance a mix of in-ratio and out-of-ratio responsibilities, offering both hands-on and strategic leadership Maintain high standards of care, safety, and active supervision at all times Supporting the Centre Coordinator in the delivery of the service Skills & Experience You are an experienced early childhood professional who brings: A Diploma of Children’s Services or Bachelor Early Childhood (or equivalent) recognised by the Department of Education Strong leadership experience with the ability to coach, mentor and inspire teams In-depth knowledge of the National Quality Framework, EYLF, and Victorian frameworks A genuine commitment to child safety, wellbeing, and inclusive practice Excellent communication skills and a passion for building meaningful relationships Current certifications including Working with Children Check, First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis, and Asthma Current EC Protect Training and National Child Safety Training Why join us?
