In this role, you will: Deliver person-centred, evidence-based nursing care for residents living with dementia Monitor residents’ health and respond promptly to clinical and behavioural needs overnight Administer medications, manage wound care, and maintain accurate clinical documentation Provide leadership and clinical oversight to care staff on shift Support and mentor Care Workers to ensure best practice dementia care Maintain a calm, safe, and therapeutic environment during night hours Respond to behavioural and psychological symptoms of dementia (BPSD) using best-practice approaches Communicate effectively with residents, families, and external health professionals Collaborate with the broader clinical team to support holistic care planning What You’ll Bring Essential Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse Previous experience in aged care, dementia care, or a similar clinical setting Strong clinical judgement, communication, and leadership skills Understanding of person-centred dementia care and behaviour support approaches Ability to work independently and confidently during night duty Current National Police Check, First Aid, and Manual Handling certificates Desirable Experience working in a specialised dementia or memory support unit Post-graduate qualifications or training in dementia care About Bene Aged Care Bene Aged Care is a not-for-profit, values-driven organisation dedicated to supporting older South Australians to live meaningful and dignified lives.
