About the Role: We are seeking a part-time Payroll Specialist with strong hands-on experience and excellent legislative knowledge related to all aspects of payroll. Main Responsibilities Accurate processing of wages, salaries, overtime, new starters, variation of employments, terminations, leave, allowances and any other adjustments in compliance with relevant Awards, Fair Work Act and other applicable legislations. Responding to all payroll queries in a timely manner. Conducting checks and audits as needed. Ensuring 100% payroll compliance including but not limited to superannuation, payroll tax and accruals. Liaising with external parties such as ATO and Centrelink related to payroll functions. Maintaining accurate payroll records and employee data. Providing payroll reports and analytics as required. Continuously improving payroll functions and systems to ensure best practice in payroll. Selection Criteria Demonstrated experience of minimum 5 years hands on experience in a similar role, managing end-to-end payroll. Good knowledge and understanding of payroll, superannuation and tax legislations related to payroll. Confidence and hands on experience in working with payroll systems (Pronto experience highly regarded). Ability to work independently to ensure payroll is processed accurately and on schedule, in compliance with all applicable legislations and company policies. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. People focused approach ensuring high quality payroll support is provided to all employees, managers and other stakeholders. High level of attention to detail and accuracy, alongside a strong commitment to delivering exceptional ‘internal customer’ service. Proactive approach with a strong focus on continuous improvement. Advanced Microsoft Word and Excel skills, including use of formulas, data validation, and reconciliation tools. Must have permanent work rights in Australia (Australian PR or citizen).
