Our Healthcare Technology client are hiring for a Business Development Executive to significantly grow the Victoria region. This role will be based out of our clients central Melbourne office but we would expect 60-70% travel across Victoria to customers Our client is in the healthcare communication and acute healthcare space delivering clinical communications solutions into hospitals and healthcare facilities across more than 60 countries. This is a high impact space with huge room for growth. Major capital works, technology upgrades and increasing demand in the healthcare communication space is driving a increased need for our clients' services. The existing team is at capacity, so we’re looking for a proactive Business Development Executive that will allow our client to continue to build upon this momentum. You’ll be responsible for delivering complex healthcare projects across acute hospital environments. This is a true new business role focused on winning major projects, influencing complex stakeholder groups, and building pipelines across hospitals, consultants, electrical contractors, and delivery partners. The Challenge Selling into acute hospital environments is rarely transactional. Winning work requires the ability to influence clinicians, ICT teams, engineers, consultants, electrical contractors, and procurement, often simultaneously and over long sales cycles. This is high value work, operating in regulated, mission critical environments where buying decisions directly impact patient safety, clinical workflow and hospital operations. The Role As Business Development Executive, you will act as a primary growth driver for the business. Your responsibilities will include: • Identifying and pursuing new hospital and healthcare project opportunities • Building strong relationships with hospitals, ICT teams, Engineering, consultants, electrical contractors, and specialist delivery partners • Developing influence and advocacy with key electrical contracting groups involved in healthcare builds • Influencing specifications early in project lifecycles • Navigating complex tender and procurement processes • Developing and maintaining a strong forward looking pipeline • Working closely with sales leadership, solutions, delivery and commissioning teams to ensure commercial commitments align with delivery capability What we're looking for This role is suited to a business development professional with direct experience selling into acute hospital or healthcare environments where electrical contractors play a critical role in project delivery. You must come from one of the following backgrounds: • Healthcare communications, nurse call, workflow, duress or RTLS systems • Enterprise healthcare technology sold into hospitals • Smart building or ELV infrastructure with a demonstrated focus on acute healthcare projects and strong electrical contractor engagement You understand how hospitals buy and how projects are won on site as well as on paper. You are comfortable navigating long sales cycles, formal tender processes and multi stakeholder decision making involving clinicians, ICT, engineering, consultants, electrical contractors, and procurement. You bring credibility, patience and commercial discipline, and you understand that success in healthcare business development comes from shaping opportunity early and building the right contractor relationships, rather than chasing late stage deals.
