We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Controller to play a critical role in the successful delivery of major shutdowns. This is a site-based position working a 4:3 roster in a fast-paced, high-intensity project environment. This role is ideal for a commercially astute, analytical leader who thrives on driving performance, influencing decisions through data, and maintaining full control of cost, schedule, and risk outcomes. The Opportunity As the Senior Project Controller, you will provide strategic oversight of project controls, ensuring accurate forecasting, performance visibility, and proactive risk management. You will be a key partner to Project Managers and senior stakeholders, delivering clear insights that drive informed decision-making and successful shutdown execution. Strong expertise in project controls, progress measurement, and performance reporting Proven experience leading project forecasting (ETC/EAC) in complex project environments Solid understanding of cost control and earned value principles Highly analytical, with strong data interpretation and storytelling capability Experience in shutdowns preferred is Confident communicator with the ability to influence decisions through data-driven insights Proficient in project controls systems and reporting platforms What we are looking for Tertiary qualifications in Business (Finance or Accounting), Engineering, Quantity Surveying or related discipline. 7-10 years in Shutdowns or Infrastructure project delivery P6 experience and or exposure Experience working in cost control systems or management tools InEight (Doc Control and preferably cost management) What we offer Flexible working environment with potential to be at home 2/3 days at a time Roster is potentially negotiable Opportunity for career growth with structured frameworks and supportive-inclusive team Competitive Salary and Employee Benefits Valued and respected position, with supportive and experienced team Work for a major ASX-listed company About Energy & Utilities… Downer's Energy & Utilities business unit is an integrated trans-Tasman team, providing services and solutions that connect communities to essential networks and infrastructure.
