About the role The Auslan Teacher will be delivering accredited and non-accredited training to a diverse range of students. The role of the TAFE teacher is to deliver educational programs and facilitates learning, enabling students to achieve their desired outcomes. This is a casual opportunity with flexible hours. About You Essential Requirements: Hold appropriate subject knowledge and skills, and at minimum hold a qualification or Statement of Attainment which includes the unit PSPLAN012 Converse in Auslan at a proficient user level. Have a minimum of 5 years post qualification industry experience relevant to your interaction with the Deaf community gained within the last 5 years. Hold evidence of the required teaching qualification (TAE) to deliver Vocational Education and Training (VET). See the candidate support document here for details. Highly Desirable Lived experience as a Deaf and/or Hard of Hearing person would be highly advantageous, bringing valuable cultural insight to support inclusive teaching.
