The Opportunity This well-organised ACCHS offers a full scope of comprehensive primary care to the community through a collaborative, multi-disciplinary team as well as being responsible for coordination of medical retrieval and patient travel when required. $1500-$1800/day worked Flights, car & accommodation provided Repeat FIFO and permanent live-in options too Collaborative team Commitment to Aboriginal Primary Health Care linked to “Closing the Gap” initiatives Spend quality time with your patients Mon-Fri sessions The Location 520km east of Darwin on the West Arnhem Land coast, Maningrida is one of the largest remote communities in Australia, with more than 13 Aboriginal languages spoken locally. 90 min flight from Darwin (twice daily) Tropical climate, with dry season (May-Sept) temperatures range from 20-30°C and from 25-33°C in the wet season (Dec-Mar) Multi-cultural populations of approx. 3000 residents Day care & school (P-12) along with supermarkets, pool, banks, post office and other services This role would suit a VR GP with RACGP or ACRRM Fellowship who has prior experience working in remote communities.
