A Gentle Friendship to Share Tea, Sunshine & Smiles In a peaceful retirement village in Hammondville, a lovely elderly lady is hoping to welcome a kind female volunteer into her world. Living independently in her own home, she is vision‑impaired and sometimes the days feel a little quieter than she’d like. She loves a good chat, the comfort of a cuppa and cake, and talking about her garden, which brings her so much joy. On her best days, she enjoys a short drive to a local café, soaking up fresh air, sunshine, and friendly conversation. Your visit doesn’t need to be long—just 30 minutes to an hour—but it could mean everything. A warm hello, shared laughter, and a friendly presence can truly brighten her weekend. Best times: Saturday or Sunday, between 10:00am and 2:00pm Frequency: Weekly or fortnightly (flexible) Location: Hammondville If you’re a patient, caring woman who enjoys simple pleasures and heartfelt connection, this could be a beautifully rewarding way to give back. Sometimes the sweetest moments are shared over tea, cake, and genuine companionship. Your impact Volunteering as a social visitor can be a rewarding experience, both for the person you visit as well as yourself. Regular visits from volunteers can help to improve quality of life and help people feel less isolated. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yxFDDi9bS6c HammondCare HammondCare is an independent Christian charity and we're passionate about improving the quality of life for people in need.
