If you’re looking for a role where your attention to detail and reliability will genuinely make a difference – this one’s for you. About Trasan Contracting: Trasan Contracting is a family-owned and operated, multi-disciplinary building services company that has called Karratha home since 1997. Locally based and proudly community-minded, Trasan has built a strong reputation across the Pilbara region for delivering quality construction and maintenance services to clients in the resource, public, industrial, commercial, and private property sectors. Over the years, Trasan has delivered prestigious contracts for organisations including Woodside, the Pilbara Ports Authority, Horizon Power, and local and state government. Their experienced team – people who know the Pilbara well – is what sets them apart. Trasan believes in employing locally, buying locally, and giving back to the local community through sponsorship of junior sporting clubs, involvement in schools and training programmes, and strong relationships with local businesses and trades. This is a team built on trust, quality, and doing things right – every time. About the role: This is a dual-function role that sits at the heart of Trasan’s daily operations – combining quality, health, safety and environmental (QHSE) administration with hands-on store and warehouse responsibilities. On the QHSE side, you will support the implementation and maintenance of Trasan’s integrated management system (IMS), helping to ensure the business remains compliant with ISO 9001 (Quality), ISO 45001 (Safety), and ISO 14001 (Environmental) standards. This includes maintaining accurate documentation, assisting with incident reporting and audit preparation, supporting toolbox talks and risk assessments, and tracking corrective actions through to close-out. On the store side, you will manage inventory and stock control, receive and dispatch goods, coordinate materials between workshop and sites, and maintain a clean, safe and well-organised warehouse environment. Your key accountabilities will include: QHSE documentation control – keeping records current, accurate and audit-ready at all times Supporting safety initiatives – toolbox talks, risk assessments and corrective action tracking Inventory and stock control – maintaining ≥98% stock accuracy and completing stocktakes as scheduled Warehouse operations – receipting, storing, picking and dispatching goods accurately and on time Procurement and logistics support – tracking deliveries, coordinating materials and escalating issues promptly Housekeeping and WHS compliance – keeping the warehouse safe and consistently meeting standards General administration – data entry, filing and maintaining accurate digital records This role reports directly to the Business Manager and operates within clearly defined guidelines with well-structured expectations. You will have the support of a small, experienced team and the opportunity to grow your knowledge across QHSE systems in a real-world construction environment. About you: You are a serious, diligent person who does things properly. You don’t cut corners, you don’t let things slip, and you take genuine pride in maintaining accurate records and a safe, organised workplace. You are conscientious and precise in everything you do. Whether you’re receipting stock, updating a QHSE register, or preparing documents for an audit, you approach each task with care and thoroughness – because you understand that the details matter. You are someone who follows the rules – not because you have to, but because you understand why they exist. You value structure and clear expectations, and you bring a disciplined, accountable approach to your work every day. You are reserved and professional in your manner, but you communicate clearly and effectively when it counts. You work well within a team and take your responsibilities seriously – knowing that others are depending on your accuracy and reliability. You might be early in your career and looking for the right environment to grow, or you might already have some relevant experience under your belt. Either way, you bring a genuine willingness to learn, a strong work ethic, and the personal discipline to consistently deliver quality outcomes. As a locally-based role, you will have the benefit of working in the community you live in – no camps, no rosters, no time away from home. You will have the opportunity to learn QHSE systems and processes from the ground up within a real-world construction and maintenance environment, with the potential to grow your career as the business continues to develop.
