A leading maintenance and repair organisation (MRO), specialising in fixed and rotary wing aircraft, is seeking a highly motivated and organised individual to join its team as a Quality and Compliance Manager (QCM). Based at a heavy maintenance facility in Cairns, North Queensland, this is an exciting opportunity to play a key role within a well-established aviation environment. Reporting to the Accountable Manager, the QCM is responsible for the management and implementation of the organisation’s Quality Management Systems. The successful candidate will demonstrate knowledge and experience in: Extensive understanding of CASA, FAA, EASA, and other foreign NAA regulatory requirements (desirable) ISO 9001:2015 standards and broader regulatory frameworks Influencing and motivating teams to ensure compliance and maintain accurate records Liaising with aviation regulatory authorities and preparing applications for approvals and authorisations Broad operational experience within an MRO or aviation maintenance facility Promoting safe behaviours and leading positive cultural change across the organisation What will help you succeed: Formal training in Quality Management (Lead Auditor qualification desirable) Minimum of 5 years’ experience in quality and safety management Strong written and verbal communication skills Background as an AME, Licensed Engineer, or degree-qualified in aviation In-depth knowledge of Safety Management Systems (SMS) and reporting Ability to engage stakeholders and drive change effectively Capability to work both autonomously and as part of a team Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite Previous supervisory experience (advantageous) Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
