Full-time Motor Mechanic available in Redfern NSW 2016. Surry Hills Tyre & Auto is a well-established automotive workshop providing tyre services, mechanical repairs, diagnostics, and routine vehicle maintenance to a broad customer base in Sydney. The business services a wide range of vehicle types and requires reliable, high-quality workmanship to maintain its reputation and service standards. To support increasing customer demand and maintain efficient workshop operations, the business requires a qualified Motor Mechanic to carry out diagnostics, servicing, and repairs. This role is essential to ensuring timely service delivery, maintaining safety and compliance standards, and supporting the overall productivity of the workshop. Position Responsibilities and Tasks: Perform routine servicing, maintenance and repairs on a variety of vehicles, including engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension and steering systems. Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using diagnostic tools and testing equipment. Inspect vehicles to identify issues and ensure compliance with safety and roadworthiness standards. Carry out tyre fitting, balancing and wheel alignment as required. Maintain accurate service records and report findings to customers and management. Ensure all work is completed in accordance with manufacturer specifications and workshop procedures. Maintain a clean and safe work environment in line with workplace health and safety requirements. Qualifications and Skills: Relevant qualification in Automotive Mechanical Technology or equivalent (Certificate III or higher Minimum 1 years' experience as a Motor Mechanic in Australia Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Knowledge of Australian vehicle safety and compliance standards Salary: This is a full-time position with competitive remuneration ranges $75,000 - $85,000 p.a. plus superannuation for a 38-hour work week.
