About the Role Rustic Thai Cuisine, a highly regarded local restaurant in Aldinga, South Australia, is recognized for its authentic Thai dishes, welcoming atmosphere, and commitment to quality. We pride ourselves on delivering exceptional dining experiences while maintaining efficient operations and a supportive team environment. We are currently looking for a capable and motivated Restaurant Manager to oversee all aspects of restaurant operations, lead our team, and contribute to the continued growth and success of the business. Key Responsibilities • Coordinate and manage day-to-day restaurant operations to ensure smooth and efficient service. • Lead the recruitment, training, rostering, and performance management of staff in accordance with operational needs and Fair Work guidelines. • Uphold high standards of customer service by addressing feedback professionally and working closely with kitchen staff to ensure food quality and timely delivery. • Plan and develop menus in consultation with chefs, taking into account customer preferences, seasonal availability, and cost considerations. • Monitor financial performance, including budgeting, sales tracking, labour costs, and waste reduction. • Manage stock levels, oversee inventory control, and liaise with suppliers to maintain consistent supply. • Ensure full compliance with food safety standards, workplace health and safety regulations, hygiene protocols, and licensing requirements. • Identify opportunities to improve operations and support marketing initiatives while fostering a positive and productive team culture. Qualifications & Skills • Relevant qualification in Hospitality Management (Certificate IV, Diploma, or higher is preferred). • At least 1 year of experience in a Restaurant Manager or supervisory role within the hospitality industry. • Solid understanding of restaurant operations, service standards, and team supervision. • Knowledge of food safety regulations, hygiene practices, and workplace health and safety requirements. • Proven leadership and team management capabilities to perform effectively in a fast-paced hospitality setting. • Strong communication and interpersonal skills. • A customer-focused mindset with keen attention to detail.
