Operated by The Asian Boyz Pty Ltd, we are committed to delivering traditional Vietnamese cuisine with fresh, high-quality ingredients in a vibrant beachside setting. As our business grows, we are seeking an experienced Full-Time Chef to join our dedicated kitchen team. Salary: $77,000 – $85,000 gross per annum Superannuation (commensurate with experience) Key Duties and Responsibilities • Prepare, cook and present authentic Vietnamese dishes and menu items to a consistently high standard • Develop and design new recipes and seasonal menu items in line with Vietnamese culinary traditions • Oversee and contribute to the set-up and pack-down of the kitchen at the start and end of each service • Maintain a clean, hygienic and organised kitchen environment in compliance with food safety standards • Assist in the management and coordination of the kitchen team, including supervision of kitchen hands and junior staff • Conduct regular stocktakes, review inventory levels, and liaise with management on ordering requirements • Monitor and minimise food wastage to support cost-effective kitchen operations • Ensure strict compliance with NSW Food Authority regulations and relevant workplace health and safety (WHS) requirements • Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth and timely service delivery • Stay informed of industry trends and contribute ideas for continuous menu improvement Required Skills and Experience • Minimum 3 years’ experience as a qualified Chef, with demonstrated experience in a busy Vietnamese or Asian commercial kitchen • Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent overseas qualification, subject to skills assessment) • Proven ability to prepare and present authentic Vietnamese cuisine at a high standard • Sound knowledge of food safety, hygiene and WHS requirements applicable to commercial kitchen environments • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently under pressure during peak service periods • Strong time management and organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Reliable, punctual and committed to delivering quality outcomes consistently • Ability to contribute to a positive and collaborative kitchen culture Desirable (Not Essential) • Experience with Vietnamese regional cuisines (e.g. Northern, Central or Southern Vietnamese cooking styles) • Prior experience in a supervisory or senior chef role • Knowledge of allergen management and dietary requirements How to Apply To apply, please submit your current CV/resume and a brief cover letter outlining your relevant experience and why you are suited to this role.
