Brisbane Airport Air Nauru Turnaround Coordinator This is a part-time role classified at C6 – Customer Service Advanced, offering 40 hours per fortnight. Purpose: The Nauru Turnaround Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the efficient, compliant, and seamless coordination of Air Nauru operations at Brisbane Airport. This role provides both operational and administrative support, acting as a key liaison between Oceania Ground Force, Brisbane Airport Corporation (BAC), and Air Nauru stakeholders. The position plays a critical role in supporting weekly flight operations, maintaining compliance with regulatory and company standards, and ensuring that all turnaround activities are conducted safely, efficiently, and in accordance with established procedures. Due to the dynamic nature of airline operations, this role requires flexibility. Rosters and working hours may be adjusted to align with Air Nauru’s operational requirements and any changes to the airline schedule. The Nauru Turnaround Coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day management of staff performance across both Ramp and Customer Service operations. This includes providing leadership, guidance, and support to ensure staff meet operational, safety, and service delivery standards. The role operates with the oversight and support of the Ground Services Manager, with more complex performance or conduct matters escalated as required. What’s in it for you Opportunity to step into a leadership role within airport operations Exposure to international airline operations (Air Nauru) Diverse role across frontline operations and administration Supportive team environment with ongoing development opportunities Competitive hourly rate aligned with C6 classification Key Responsibilities Leadership & Performance Lead and support staff during Air Nauru turnarounds across customer service and ramp operations Provide clear direction, coaching, and real-time feedback on shift Monitor performance and ensure standards, safety, and procedures are followed Escalate complex performance or conduct matters as required Operational Coordination Coordinate weekly turnaround activities and team priorities Support efficient delivery of operations in line with KPIs Maintain a strong on-the-ground presence during flight operations Stakeholder Liaison Act as a key contact for staff, Air Nauru, and Brisbane Airport Corporation (BAC) Communicate operational updates including delays, bay allocations, and changes Compliance & Administration Review flight documentation and ensure accuracy and completion Monitor operational compliance requirements and follow up where needed Support banking processes and liaise with accounts where required Maintain accurate records in line with company and regulatory standards Roster (Indicative) This role supports weekly Air Nauru services, with an indicative roster: Monday: 09:00 – 13:00 Wednesday: 02:50 – 06:50 Thursday: 03:30 – 07:30 or 18:10 – 22:10 Friday: 16:00 – 20:00 Roster is subject to change based on operational requirements — flexibility is essential. About You Minimum 2 years’ experience in a supervisory or people management role Experience within airport, airline, or ground handling operations essential Strong leadership skills with the ability to guide and support teams on shift Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills Highly organised with strong attention to detail Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment Confident working both independently and as part of a team Experience with Air Nauru operations will be highly regarded.
