Our menu spans all-day breakfast, fresh sandwiches, and vibrant dinner dishes, paired with local wines and a strong sense of community. We are seeking a reliable and skilled Cook to join our kitchen team. This role suits someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, takes pride in consistency and presentation, and wants to grow their skills in a supportive kitchen. You will work closely with the Head Chef and senior kitchen staff to deliver high-quality food across service while maintaining strong standards in preparation, hygiene, and teamwork. You should ideally have a Certificate IV in Hospitality, or equivalent industry experience. You should demonstrate sound culinary knowledge and ability to work independently and in a team in a fast-paced kitchen environment. This full-time position located in Berry NSW carry a salary range of $76K to $78K plus superannuation and is open to local Australian residents and overseas professionals. Duties and responsibilities include: • Prepare and cook dishes that reflect The Berry General Store’s signature menu • Create a-la carte and customised meals to meet guest dietary needs • Deliver each dish to the venue’s plating and presentation standards, maintaining the rustic, high‑quality look that guests expect in Berry. • Sequence orders efficiently ensuring smooth service and timely delivery • Follow all food safety, hygiene, and handling procedures in line with NSW requirements • Monitor stock levels ensuring ingredients and supplies are well‑managed • Receive and store deliveries, and check for freshness, rotation and proper storage • Support the Chef in developing daily specials, seasonal menus, and themed offerings, showcasing local produce and local tastes • Contribute to ongoing improvements in food quality, workflow, and kitchen productivity Salary - $76,000 to $78,000 plus superannuation Only shortlisted applicants will be informed.
