This position offers an opportunity to lead complex child protection work, drive positive outcomes for children and families and contribute to decisions that shape safer futures. This role enables you to apply your skills with autonomy, professional trust and strong organisational support in a purpose driven environment. This is a single vacancy offered under a dual classification , meaning it may be filled by either a qualified Senior Social Worker or Social Worker depending on the qualifications and suitability of the successful applicant. Essential Qualification: AHP (Allied Health Professional) positions require applicants to hold a Social Work qualification and be eligible for full membership with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW). In this role, you will: Use a solutions-based approach to case management. Conduct complex investigations in a child-centred manner, with a focus on safety and support. Evaluate risk, protective factors and family capacity using evidence informed practice. Support children in care and assist families toward reunification where appropriate. Respond to notifications of child abuse and reassess matters as new information emerges. About You: You are capable of managing complex child protection work with confidence, independence and sound professional judgement. You have a strong understanding of child development, trauma, cultural awareness, and apply this knowledge to safeguard children. You are skilled in conducting investigations, assessments, interventions, preparing high quality reports, and contribute effectively in court processes. You work collaboratively, building strong relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders. Salary: Senior Social Worker ($91,785 - $106,330 per annum) 12% superannuation. An additional 4% Child Protection Allowance on top of your annual salary. Professional Development Allowance, entitlement to claim reimbursement of eligible professional development expenses.
