This is a Direct Services Team Leader role with Queensland Government based in Brisbane, QLD, AU Queensland Government Role Seniority - mid level More about the Direct Services Team Leader role at Queensland Government As a Direct Services Team Leader you will supervise the day-to-day practice of direct support staff in the provision of accommodation support to people with an intellectual disability and their families. You will ensure that staff practices are consistent with all relevant legislative requirements and standards, including the Human Services Quality Framework. As a Direct Services Team Leader you will have skills in leading and mentoring staff within an established direct support practice framework. Your Responsibilities As a Direct Services Team Leader you will: Encourage teams to identify and implement strategies to ensure continuous improvement of service delivery for people with an intellectual disability. Keep yourself and teams informed about and ensure the application of relevant legislative requirements, departmental policies and service delivery practices. Plan for and implement regular monitoring and review of systems and processes utilised by support staff within the service delivery environment. Articulate performance standards when providing coaching and mentoring to direct support staff by providing constructive and incisive feedback about the work practices of individuals. You will inform staff on service delivery and departmental requirements and will escalate matters of concern. Actively contribute and encourage others to participate in support planning for people with a disability who receive services. Recognise and contribute to the DSAS Governance Structure, supporting quality outcomes for participants through the delivery of quality services and continuous improvement.
