About The Role As an IT Support Consultant (Desktop), you'll be at the forefront of managing enterprise IT environments, providing expert support for Microsoft products and driving innovative solutions. From customer onboarding to architecture design, your work will directly support critical government services. This role offers the chance to work with Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM), Intune, Azure Virtual Desktops, and more. You'll also mentor junior staff, contribute to technical improvements, and ensure service excellence. Please note that after-hours support and occasional short-notice attendance at CITEC's Brisbane offices may be required. What You'll Do Lead MECM Administration: Manage OS deployment, application packaging and software updates with MECM (SCCM). Modern Endpoint Management: Design, implement, and manage Intune-based solutions for seamless device management. System Administration: Deliver reliable services and ensure customer satisfaction by meeting service level agreements. Project Contributions: Play a key role in customer onboarding, architecture solutions and exploring emerging technologies. Technical Expertise: Provide support for Microsoft products, including MECM, Intune, Azure Virtual Desktops and Office 365. Mentorship & Collaboration: Guide junior team members, identify risks, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Pre-Sales Support: Assist with technical responses for RFIs and RFPs and participate in workshops, demonstrations, and proofs of concept. Professional Development: Stay ahead of the curve with certification training and ongoing skill enhancement. What We're Looking For We're seeking a dynamic IT professional with a passion for technology and a commitment to delivering exceptional service. To thrive in this role, you'll need: Advanced MECM Expertise: Proven skills in OS deployment, application packaging and software updates. Technical Proficiency: Experience with Active Directory (Group Policy Management), Windows 11 and Azure Virtual Desktops. Scripting Skills: Strong PowerShell scripting abilities for policy deployment, app packaging and reporting. ITSM/ITIL Knowledge: Familiarity with ITSM/ITIL processes (e.g., change, incident and problem management) using tools like ServiceNow. Problem-Solving Abilities: A knack for translating business requirements into effective IT solutions. Communication Skills: The ability to engage with stakeholders in complex IT environments. Commitment to Excellence: A focus on accuracy, organisational processes, and continuous improvement. Highly Regarded Skills Hands-on experience with Windows Server administration and Microsoft 365 tenant management. Expertise in migrating from MECM OSD to Autopilot and from GPOs to Intune policies.
