WhitPro group is seeking a dedicated and skilled Nurseryperson to join our team and contribute to the successful operation of our nursery. As a Nurseryperson, you will play a vital role in maintaining plants at our in-house nursery. Supervising nursery hands. Qualifications & Experience: At least Certificate III (or equivalent) plus 12 months of experience. At least three years of relevant experience may substitute for the formal qualifications. Task and Duties include (but not limited to) • Prepare potting media and containers prior to planting. • Choose suitable planting material, plug plants, root matter etc. • Perform vegetative propagation of rootstock. • Supervise nursery hands. • Water plants manually and manage automatic watering systems. • Apply pesticides to combat pests, diseases, weeds, and address nutritional and environmental plant issues. • Maintain records of soil mixtures, plantings, treatments, losses, and yields. • Select and package plants for dispatch and delivery. • Provide guidance to customers regarding plant care and suitable choices for local conditions. • Ensure a clean, safe, and organized work environment, including the proper storage and disposal of chemicals and waste materials.
