Overview : Balcatta Panel and Paint is highly qualified and skilled in car respraying, panel beating and welding and have over 40 years of combined experience in repairing different makes and models of motor vehicles. We are committed to providing a professional service to all of our customers, using state-of-the-art machinery and tools to complete every job. We are looking for a Panelbeater to join the team! In this role, your focus will be on assessing damaged vehicles, estimating the cost of repairs, and repairing vehicles. This position is a full-time ongoing position, working 40 hours per week based in Balcatta, WA. Main tasks : -Assessing and inspecting damaged vehicles to determine the extent of repairs needed. -Removing damaged panels and parts from vehicles. -Stripping and fitting of vehicles. -Straightening and reshaping damaged panels using appropriate tools and equipment. -Reassembling vehicle components, filling holes and hammering dents out of panels. -Inspecting repaired vehicles for quality and ensuring they meet industry standards. -Keeping accurate records of repairs performed and materials used. -Following safety guidelines and maintaining a clean and organized work area -Collaborating with team members to optimize workflow and meet deadlines. -Staying updated on industry trends, techniques, and technologies related to panel repair. -Welding work in general. Required/Relevant Qualifications & Work Experience : -Minimum of a relevant Certificate III qualification plus minimum 1 year’ relevant work experience in the last 5 years. -3 years’ relevant work experience may substitute the formal qualification. Required/Relevant Skills & Knowledge : -In-depth knowledge of panel repair techniques, including dent removal. -Proficiency in using various tools and equipment. -Familiarity with different types of vehicle panels and their repair requirements. -Strong attention to detail and ability to achieve high-quality finishes. -Excellent manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination. -Ability to interpret technical repair manuals and follow repair procedures. -Good problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to different repair challenges. -Effective time management skills and ability to work within deadlines. -Strong communication and teamwork abilities. Annual salary will be between $90,000.00 to $100,000.00 (plus superannuation) depending on level of experience. Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
