The Gig You’ll be right at the centre of the finance function, supporting multiple entities as projects move funding through planning, funding, and delivery. Based in Sydney CBD, this is an office-based role reporting directly to the Director, with close alignment to the CEO and leadership team. You’ll oversee financial reporting, compliance, tax, and audit across multiple entities, while leading the team with two accountants reporting into you. You’ll be across budgeting, cashflow forecasting, and project-level financial control, ensuring performance is clearly understood across the business. This includes reviewing P&L outcomes, managing cashflow positions, and providing commercial insight to support decision making across development stages. Your ability to bring structure, clarity, and leadership will support ongoing growth and performance You’ll Be Trusted With: Managing group financial reporting across multiple entities and operating structures • Preparing and reviewing budgets, forecasts, and project-level financial performance • Monitoring cashflow across active works and addressing short-term funding requirements • Conducting P&L reviews and identifying trends, risks, and improvement opportunities • Overseeing tax compliance, audits, and financial governance requirements • Supporting project budget tracking and cost control across staged works • Leading and mentoring the internal accounting team across daily operations • Managing intercompany reconciliations and internal financial processes • Liaising with banks, consultants, and external advisors on financial matters • Preparing feasibility analysis and executive-level financial reporting What’s In Your Toolbox? Proven experience in finance roles within property development • Strong understanding of project budgets, cost control, and staged financial tracking • Ability to manage multi-entity structures and group-level financial reporting • Experience leading finance teams and managing day-to-day accounting functions • Strong commercial awareness with ability to influence operational decision making • Confident communication with senior leadership, banks, and external stakeholders You’re the kind of person who understands how financial performance ties directly to what’s happening on the ground.
