In this role, you will be responsible for driving sales across key product categories, including cartons, seed, fertiliser, and agricultural chemicals, as well as supporting seasonal forecasting and planning. Actively pursue new business opportunities while maintaining and growing the existing customer base. Meet financial sales targets and key performance indicators (KPIs). Stay up to date with industry trends, competitor activity, and product knowledge. Participate in trade shows, field days, and industry conventions. Apply sound understanding of costs and mark-ups to ensure profitability while maintaining customer flexibility. Provide counter and in-store sales and service as required. Assist with the delivery of merchandise to customers. Support the day-to-day retail operations of the branch, working within budget parameters to achieve profit objectives. What You’ll Bring: You are a confident communicator and a self-starter who enjoys being out in the field, meeting people, and building lasting relationships. You will be able to demonstrate: Demonstrated sales experience, preferably within the rural sector. Strong customer service focus with excellent interpersonal skills. Ability to identify and pursue sales opportunities. Friendly and helpful manner with an ability to deal effectively with a diverse workforce. Ability to manage your own time, meet deadlines and take responsibility for your output and the quality of your work. Current & valid Driver’s licence. Current Forklift licence highly regarded. Tertiary qualifications in Agriculture, Agronomy, Horticulture, or a related field and Agsafe Accreditation are desirable but not essential. Candidates must have valid and current Australian working rights to be considered for this position.
