At St Basil’s Homes SA, we’re seeking an experienced House Manager to lead one of our Living Well houses — creating a place that truly feels like home for residents, families, and staff. This role will be based at St Peters, our boutique residential site which provides care to 32 residents. This is a nonclinical leadership role with genuine scope. You’ll run your house like your own small business: leading people, shaping culture, managing daytoday operations, and ensuring an exceptional everyday experience for those who live and work there. A day in the life of a Living Well House Manager: In my role, no two days are ever the same, I connect daily with residents, staff, and families, respond to feedback and complaints, and take on whatever is needed within a non-clinical scope, always starting with clear intention but adapting as things change, all while finding deep purpose in creating meaningful change and making a genuine difference in people’s lives. In my role as LWHM, I support resident’s wellbeing and environment by building relationships with residents, families, and staff to ensure each resident’s needs and choices are understood, while also “noticing” when something isn’t quite right – this could be through how a resident presents, feedback or complaints, process breakdown or staff interaction. I work towards solutions and improving the way our residents live in collaboration with the Clinical Care Coordinator and staff from all areas across the site. This is a role where every day, and sometimes every hour, can be different. Each day working as a LWHM brings something different. I spend time working alongside staff, supporting residents, and keeping open communication with families. My focus is on being approachable, addressing feedback early, and adapting to what's needed to maintain a steady, respectful, and supportive environment for everyone involved.
