About The Role We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Associate to work in our Private Equity Team, working closely with Partners, Andy McNee and Elizabeth Lilley. The Maddocks’ Private Equity Team is one of the most sought after mid-market Teams in Australia, having worked for 20 domestic and overseas private equity funds in the last 12 months. The Team works on all aspects of private equity transactions from the initial platform transaction, bolt on acquisitions to scale the platform, and ultimately the exit of the private equity fund from its investment, either by way of a trade sale, an IPO, a secondary sale transaction to another private equity fund or to a continuation vehicle. In this role you will be hands-on managing legal due diligence, structuring transactions, drafting and negotiating transaction documentation and attending to transaction execution. You will gain significant exposure to senior investment professionals, portfolio company leadership and other professional advisory businesses, while working across diverse sectors on interesting and significant transactions. You will be joining a very collegiate Team, with a flat structure, that is fully resourced. You will also work closely with other teams at Maddocks, including employment, property, TMT and tax. About You Ideally you will have: 6 years PQE working across PE transactions.
