In this pivotal role, you will provide expert finance advice to support the delivery of a range of finance-related project across the branch. The opportunity The Senior Advisor (Finance) will provide accurate, timely, and relevant financial ninformation and support to business areas within The Wave (Rail) branch. You will play a key role in ensuring the successful management and delivery of a range of finance-related projects across the branch. Key Responsibilities Assist with the development and implementation of finance-related projects and provide subject matter expert support to such projects. Assist with the reviewing, development, and implementation of business processes and reports relating to the financial administration of The Wave (Rail) and related business functions. Analyse complex financial matters, including undertaking detailed financial modelling, to ensure value-for-money investment in public transport. Provide professional financial and commercial advice and develop appropriate financial management responses to key financial issues. Effectively engage with internal and external stakeholders/customers in the provision of financial services. Communicate with influence to convey complex financial and business ideas to diverse audiences to achieve both organisational and project-related objectives. Mandatory Requirements Criminal History Check will be undertaken prior to appointment to the role due to access to sensitive date. What You Will Bring Possess tertiary qualifications (Bachelor's degree or higher) in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related discipline. Experience working in a similar role on large-scale projects, preferably within the public sector or transport industry. Proven experience in financial modelling, financial analysis, and contract finance. Proficiency in enterprise and custom finance-related ICT systems, such as SAP, Excel, Power Query, and SharePoint.
