Maurice Blackburn, experience you can count on. About the role We are looking for an Associate to join our dedicated Abuse Law team on a 12 month Fixed-Term contract basis. Located in our Perth office, you’ll play a key role in supporting a diverse and meaningful caseload of Abuse Law matters. Maurice Blackburn has a long history of practising in Abuse Law, and of advocating on the part of survivors of childhood sexual abuse. Due to the nature of the practice, there will at times be exposure to challenging material, consequently all staff in the practice are supported through access to external psychological support, as well as market leading and award winning internal vicarious trauma training. Reporting to a Principal in the Abuse Law team, you will be constantly challenged by using your technical knowledge and experience in personal injuries litigation to strive for fair outcomes for our clients. With your strong client focus and passion for helping people you will foster and manage relationships with referrers and other external parties while also looking to grow our incredible practice. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, a ‘can-do’ attitude and the ability to manage conflicting business needs and deadlines will enable you to thrive in this role.
