BAA Finance is seeking a Financial Accountant to be part of our growing Financial Accounting team. This is a Full Time; Permanent role based 100% onsite in Port Melbourne reporting to the Financial Accounting Manager. The Financial Accounting team at BAA manages our P&L and Balance Sheet including reconciliations, SAP GL, cash, offshore AP & AR teams, Monthly / Quarterly / Annual and Statutory Reporting. In addition, we liaise with key stakeholders internally and externally and collaborate with other Boeing teams to meet FBT, GST and Corporate Tax requirements. Position Responsibilities: Schedule, administer and run our Month-end and Year-end closing in SAP Be responsible for opening & closing of accounting periods Review and approve GL entries Complete monthly reporting Complete cashflow reporting Work with the Senior Financial Accountant and Inventory Accountant to manage technical accounting issues Support Statutory reporting & perform revaluations Support the Graduate Accountant and Accountant and resolve / perform / submit complex reconciliations Investigate & resolve accounting issues (FX, SAP) Analyse and explain Financial Statements Work with internal & external stakeholders to deliver upon Audit, Tax, FBT and compliance Guide junior accountants on technical issues Review Asset reporting Be central in monitoring performance of offshore AR & AP functions Ensure Financial compliance and adherence to GAAP and Boeing Company Policies Basic Qualifications (Required Skills / Experience): Hold relevant Accounting Degree and 5 years’ experience (mandatory) Completed your CA or CPA (mandatory) Be structured, reliable, accountable and self-motivated Ability to run Accounting processes, and monitor tasks through to completion Enjoy process improvement processes and being a mentor to junior Accountants Seek out and bring your problem-solving skills High attention to detail and superior analytical and technical skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain financial concepts simply & thoroughly Good teaming and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage across a diverse workforce SAP experience Applicants must have unrestricted full-time working rights in Australia Additional Information This is a non-Enterprise Agreement IJC 9AHCl3 position and remuneration will be commensurate with skills and experience.
