This is a Operations Supervisor ICQA, New Site role with Amazon based in Sydney, NSW, AU Amazon Role Seniority - mid level More about the Operations Supervisor ICQA, New Site role at Amazon The ICQA Process Assistant (PA) is a critical frontline leadership role responsible for managing all aspects of a shift within the Inventory Control and Quality Assurance department. The PA leads and directs a team of ICQA associates to ensure the most efficient use of labor hours while maintaining the highest standards of inventory accuracy, safety, and quality. We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Process Assistant to join our ICQA team. In this role, you will serve as the shift leader for ICQA operations, supporting the Area Manager in driving inventory accuracy, count execution, and quality assurance across the fulfilment centre. You will mentor and guide associates to meet customer expectations by following standard work practices while keeping safety and quality top of mind. Key job responsibilities • Shift Leadership: Lead and manage the shift of ICQA associates, ensuring efficient staffing, task allocation, and workflow execution • Labor Allocation: Assign counters and indirect roles (Problem Solvers, Damage Processors, Auditors) throughout the shift based on operational needs • Count Management: Move counters between floors and count types (SBC, CC, SRC) based on the count backlog and prioritisation (0–24hr, 24–72hr) • Rate & Quality Management: Monitor and manage count rates and quality metrics, including FPY (First Pass Yield) deep dives and DPMO tracking • Count Error Research: Conduct research into count errors and inventory discrepancies to identify root causes • Problem Solve Support: Provide direction and support to Problem Solvers in resolving andons and inventory-related issues • Audit Compliance: Ensure all required audits are completed and submitted accurately and on time • PPR & Coding Monitoring: Monitor PPR (Productivity, Performance, and Rate), coding, and scrub buckets; deliver rate and quality feedback to associates • Associate Engagement: Engage with associates to identify and remove work-related barriers, coach on standard work practices, and drive performance improvement • Safety Compliance: Support safety programs and ensure compliance with all safety protocols to maintain a safe work environment • Communication: Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders including Area Managers, Operations Managers, and cross-functional teams • Meetings & Reporting: Participate in Flow meetings and provide shift updates on operational performance and inventory health • Indirect Rotation Planning: Manage the rotation plan for indirect roles, ensuring all indirect-trained associates maintain at least 20 hours in a direct function per week • Standard Work Compliance: Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs) across all ICQA processes - High school or equivalent diploma - Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays - Knowledge of Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, and Excel - 6 months of experience in an Amazon fulfilment centre or similar warehouse/distribution environment - Understanding of inbound/outbound processes and on-scanner workflows - Strong communication skills, both written and verbal - Ability to stand/walk for up to 10–12 hours per shift - Prior ICQA experience or current problem-solving skills/certifications - Experience in a leadership or mentoring role within a warehouse environment - Familiarity with inventory management systems and tools (e.g., FC Research Tool, Mastermind, ICQA dashboards) - Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies Acknowledgement of country: In the spirit of reconciliation Amazon acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of country throughout Australia and their connections to land, sea and community.
