Discover more via our website. Your next career opportunity: In this role, you will manage the University of Bayreuth’s Gateway Office in Oceania. You will connect researchers, governments and industry, driving strategic partnerships, joint PhDs, mobility, and collaborative research consortia. You will gain unmatched exposure to Australian and European research systems while operating with real responsibility and influence. What you will deliver: Lead day-to-day management of the Gateway Office, ensuring effective operations, governance and alignment with UBT strategy. Develop and manage strategic partnerships across universities, government and industry within the Australian–German and wider Oceania networks. Initiate and coordinate research consortia, collaborative projects and competitive grant proposals supporting joint research, joint PhDs and mobility. Oversee marketing, outreach, communications and events, including website, databases, social media and stakeholder engagement activities. Manage the Gateway Office budget and resources, providing financial oversight, reporting and advice on complex research funding. You may be a great fit if you: Bring extensive experience coordinating complex cross-disciplinary and cross-institutional projects across borders in academic or research settings. Demonstrate advanced knowledge of German, EU and Australian higher education and research systems, including major funding schemes. Show a strong record preparing competitive research proposals and budgets for Australian, German, European, or other international funding bodies . Use excellent analytical, conceptual and problem-solving skills to provide strategic advice and deliver creative, practical solutions. Operate autonomously while building effective relationships with senior leaders, researchers and external stakeholders across countries and sectors.
