Description Apply advanced statistical and machine learning techniques to large, complex datasets to identify trends, anomalies and predictive insights that optimise mining operations and equipment performance. Develop and deploy data models, algorithms and analytical solutions to solve complex business challenges and drive data-informed decision making. Collaborate with engineering, mining and data teams to deliver practical, scalable solutions aligned to operational needs. Translate technical findings into clear, actionable insights for both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Contribute to AI/ML best practices, remain current with industry advancements, and support a culture of continuous improvement. The Successful Applicant A successful Data Scientist should have: 3 years' experience in Data Science, AI or a related discipline Strong programming capability in Python and SQL. Experience with analytics and reporting tools (e.g. Power BI, Data Factory) and cloud-based platforms; Databricks experience highly regarded, particularly across data engineering, model development and deployment. Proven analytical capability including critical thinking, problem solving, predictive analytics and machine learning. Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering or similar Strong collaboration skills, working effectively within cross-functional programs aligned to organisational priorities. Self-motivated, curious and solutions-oriented, with the ability to deliver outcomes to tight deadlines.
