A leading global technology provider is looking for an experienced Technical Project Manager to join a high-profile program delivering large-scale retail platform solutions across some of Australia’s most recognised brands. The Technical Project Manager will be responsible for leading early-stage program engagement through to solution design, pilot, and implementation across complex, multi-site environments. You’ll play a critical role in shaping delivery strategy, coordinating cross-functional teams, and guiding enterprise customers through the planning and rollout of next-generation retail platforms. Key Responsibilities Program Engagement & Planning Key Responsibilities Act as the primary delivery lead across a major enterprise program, coordinating cross-functional teams and stakeholders Lead discovery workshops and structured engagement to define scope, assumptions, and delivery approach Oversee end-to-end delivery planning, including timelines, dependencies, resources, and key deliverables (costing, implementation approach, readiness) Establish and manage program governance, including reporting, risk management, and stakeholder communication Manage scope, change control, and commercial considerations throughout the engagement Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders, facilitating workshops, steering forums, and executive updates Transition from early-stage advisory into full delivery leadership across design, build, and deployment phases Lead onshore and offshore teams, ensuring successful pilot execution, UAT, and go-live readiness Drive delivery against agreed milestones, SLAs, and program objectives Skills & Experience Essential Proven experience as a Technical Project Manager within large scale retail technology programs - Software Strong background delivering complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives in customer-facing environments (retail, banking, telco, or similar) Experience leading structured workshops for discovery, estimation, or solution design Demonstrated ability to manage scope, risks, dependencies, and change within professional services or contract-based delivery models Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently at executive level Strong commercial awareness and ability to balance advisory and delivery responsibilities Experience with project delivery tools (e.g. MS Project, JIRA, Confluence) Relevant certification (PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent) Highly Desirable Experience with retail technology, POS, or large-scale store systems Exposure to unified commerce or customer transaction platforms Experience working across global delivery models (onshore/offshore teams) Familiarity with IT service management or managed services environments Involvement in RFPs, solution shaping, or commercial proposal development About You Confident engaging with senior stakeholders and navigating complex environments Highly organised with a structured, detail-oriented approach Commercially astute with strong problem-solving capability Collaborative and proactive, with the ability to drive outcomes across distributed teams Calm under pressure and comfortable managing competing priorities Why Apply?
