About the opportunity: In this high impact leadership role, you will report to the Wilson Homes CEO and collaborate effectively with members of the senior leadership team and lead our preconstruction teams (Drafting, Project Delivery, Estimating and Administration). You will support the delivery of the strategic plan in relation to productivity, performance and financial targets whilst driving exceptional customer experience, industry leading timeframes and client advocacy. More specifically, you will: • Effectively manage our pre-construction workflow and lead teams to achieve productivity targets • Produce data and insights to the CEO to inform decisions relating to development and implementation of the budget, quarterly targets, and strategic business plans • Report to CEO monthly regarding individual performance, KPI’s and agreed preconstruction timeframes • Ensure the pre-construction teams are reforecasting jobs monthly to allow for accurate financial reporting • Effectively manage the employee lifecycle for all team members to ensure engagement and alignment with individual, team and business goals • Drive continuous improvement initiatives (systems and process) aligned with operational excellence and foster an environment of innovation • Lead, coach, and develop teams to build capability and succession pipelines About you: Whilst building knowledge is not essential you must demonstrate exceptional capability in workflow management, continuous improvement and cross functional collaboration. You will share a passion for our purpose and be aligned to our core values; better together, be accountable, people matter and think bigger. In addition, you will bring: • Proven experience in an operational excellence leadership role • Demonstrated success in driving continuous improvement and change • Experience leading high performing multi-disciplinary teams • Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills • Confidence in your ability to align individuals and teams to goals and gain an uplift in capability through mentoring and coaching • Knowledge of the Tasmanian Planning Scheme, local council requirements and relevant Developer Guidelines is desirable and willingness to develop successful working relationships with local government and council representatives.
