This is a maintenance‑driven field role working across warehouse and conveyor systems – ideal for a tradesperson who likes practical work, variety, and autonomy without being tied to one site. Automation exists on site, but this role is about maintenance first. You don’t need automation experience – we’ll train you where needed . Maintenance Driven Role - Breakdown response, fault finding, repairs and preventative maintenance – no sitting behind a desk. Variety of Work - Visit multiple customer sites across Sydney Metro. Autonomy - Work independently, manage your day, backed by a strong technical support team. Hands‑On Trade Work - Electrical and mechanical maintenance on conveyors and warehouse systems. Job Security - Average employee tenure is 8–10 years. Training Provided - Automation, PLCs or controls exposure is optional and learned over time – not required on day one. About the Role You will be responsible for: Attending breakdowns and fault finding on site Carrying out scheduled and reactive maintenance Repairing and maintaining conveyor and warehouse equipment Mechanical and/or electrical troubleshooting Completing basic service reports and liaising with customers Supporting installations and commissioning when required What We’re Looking For Qualified Electrician or Mechanical Fitter (Australian recognised) Current Australian driver’s licence Hands‑on maintenance experience in an industrial environment Experience with conveyors highly regarded Strong electrical or mechanical skills Able to work independently and as part of a team Good communication skills on site Safety‑first attitude Nice to Have (Not Essential – We’ll Train You) Exposure to automation or PLC systems Hydraulic or pneumatic experience Mex Exposure In Short If you’re a trade‑qualified technician who enjoys fault finding, fixing breakdowns, and working with your hands, this is a solid, long‑term role with good pay, overtime, and real job security.
