News Corp Australia is looking for a creative and data-driven Off-Platform Editor to join our eCommerce team. Working across News Corp's portfolio of premium eCommerce publishers, predominantly news.com.au checkout but also BodySoul, Escape and taste, you'll be a key member of our senior team, helping to scale our shopping content across multiple high-traffic platforms. In this role, you will bridge the gap between our high-quality shopping content and our audiences on social media, newsletters, and beyond, driving growth and revenue across some of Australia's most trusted media brands. Reporting to the Head of eCommerce and managing a Social Media Manager, this is a hands-on leadership position combining creative thinking with practical execution — you'll be filming, editing and publishing content yourself while building the systems and workflows that scale our off-platform presence and drive revenue outcomes. Key Responsibilities: Develop and execute an off-platform growth strategy across TikTok, Meta, YouTube, Newsletters and emerging platforms Produce end-to-end social content, including filming and editing quick-turnaround video, with occasional on-camera appearances as a brand ambassador Build out newsletter capabilities and content workflows as part of the broader off-platform strategy, testing to establish what drives engagement and performance Collaborate with editorial teams at the ideation stage to identify content with strong off-platform potential and upskill writers in multi-channel content creation Manage paid social budgets to drive measurable engagement, audience growth and commercial outcomes Identify and test new distribution opportunities and untapped growth areas across emerging platforms Own performance reporting and deliver strategic recommendations to the Head of eCommerce to refine our commercial strategy and support revenue objectives Manage and develop our Social Media team, providing direction, coaching and day-to-day support Who are you? You are a digital storyteller with a proven track record of growing audiences on social media and off-platform You possess technical skills in mobile video production and editing (e.g., CapCut, Premiere, or similar) You are comfortable using data and analytics to prove what works and pivot when it doesn't You have an experimental mindset, eager to test new formats and emerging platform trends You are a strong collaborator who can influence editorial workflows and drive commercial outcomes You are commercially minded, understanding how content drives revenue and supports business objectives You are comfortable being on camera when needed to represent the brand You have experience managing and developing team members (or are ready to step into people leadership) Why News Corp Australia Join a culture where innovation is our operating rhythm.
