We are seeking an experienced Aboriginal Health Practitioner to provide frontline clinical care and support community health initiatives in a remote setting. In this role, you will: • Deliver primary health care, acute care, and emergency response services • Provide triage, first aid, stabilisation, and patient evacuation • Administer medications and vaccinations in line with clinical protocols (CARPA) • Conduct health checks, screenings, and follow-ups • Support chronic disease management and preventative health programs • Work collaboratively with doctors, nurses, and Aboriginal Health Workers • Participate in an on-call roster • Mentor and support trainees and junior staff • Contribute to clinical reporting and continuous quality improvement (CQI) What’s in it for you? • Competitive salary • Opportunity to make a real impact in Aboriginal health • Supportive, multidisciplinary team environment • Ongoing training and professional development • Unique and rewarding remote work experience What you need to be successful? To be successful, you will have: • Certificate IV in Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care (Practice) (or Certificate III Aboriginal Health Work – Clinical or higher) • Eligibility for AHPRA registration • Demonstrated primary health care experience, ideally in a remote setting • Strong clinical and assessment skills • Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team • Experience using health information systems • Current manual driver’s licence Desirable Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (or willingness to obtain) Leadership or supervisory experience Knowledge of Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) frameworks Requirements • National Criminal History Check (non-adverse) • Current OCHRE Clearance • Up-to-date vaccinations for working with vulnerable populations • Full working rights in Australia • Willingness to live and work in a remote community Want to find out more about this opportunity?
