SAP HR Payroll Systems Analyst (APS6) – Federal Government ACT / VIC / QLD | Hybrid (initial onsite period) 12-month contract possible extension IMPORTANT: You must be Australian Citizen and able to obtain NV1 Security Clearance. We’re seeking an experienced SAP HR Payroll Systems Analyst to join a large Federal Government Agency to support and enhance a large-scale payroll environment. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who combines strong SAP HR/Payroll expertise with real payroll operations experience, and can confidently work across both business and technical stakeholders. You’ll play a key role in maintaining and supporting SAP HR Payroll systems, ensuring accurate and compliant payroll processing while contributing to system improvements and enhancements. Working within a specialist payroll and HR support team, you’ll be involved in both day-to-day payroll activities and system-level support, including configuration, troubleshooting, and testing. Key responsibilities: Manage and support fortnightly payroll processing, including QA and reporting Provide Level 3 support for SAP HR/Payroll, including incident resolution Perform system configuration changes (e.g. wage types, super, leave) Support system testing and documentation for enhancements and fixes Monitor and resolve SAP Help Desk queries Work with stakeholders to translate business requirements into system solutions Contribute to team planning, prioritisation, and continuous improvement initiatives What you’ll bring: Strong experience with SAP HR Payroll (ECC6.0) Hands-on experience managing or supporting end-to-end payroll processing Exposure to SAP configuration within HR/Payroll Solid understanding of: Superannuation Single Touch Payroll (STP) Payroll reconciliation processes Ability to interpret legislation and employee entitlements Experience working with stakeholders to gather and define requirements Highly regarded: Previous experience in Federal or State Government payroll environments Experience supporting HR to Finance reconciliation processes Ability to operate independently and contribute to team outcomes You must be an Australian Citizen and able to obtain Negative Vetting Level 1 clearance.
