We are currently seeking applications from suitably qualified Carpenters at all levels for a continuous run of work on sites throughout the Perth Metro area. In this role, the Carpenter focus will be responsible for reading, interpreting drawings, measuring materials, constructing, repairing, and maintaining frameworks and fixtures. Your craftsmanship and attention to detail will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and durability of our projects. In order to represent the Kilmore Team, the successful candidates will need to be well presented and have a high awareness of health and safety at all times. This position is a full-time ongoing position, working 38 hours per week based in Perth. Main tasks - Reading and interpreting drawings to confirm relevant areas of involvement. - Measuring, calculating and anticipating the size and volume of material needed on site. - Accurately completing site measurement for fabrication and communicate that information to the offsite fabrication teams. - Constructing building frameworks, including walls, bulkheads, suspended ceilings. - Inspecting and replacing damaged framework or other structures and fixtures. - Competently operating elevated work platforms as required. - Organising work activities in a logical and efficient manner. - Instructing and directing labourers and other construction helpers. - Inspecting product quality and installation to ensure conformance to specifications. - Ensuring the safety of all personnel on site and have a solid understanding of OH&S processes and responsibilities. Qualifications and Experience - Certificate III in Carpentry, and - A minimum of 1 year of full-time work experience in the industry. Skills and Attributes - Excellent verbal and written communications skills. - Interpersonal skills to interact with clients. - Excellent time management skills to meet project deadlines and efficiently manage work tasks. - A keen eye for detail to ensure precision in measurements, cuts, and overall craftsmanship. - Collaboration and teamwork skills.
