About the Role Joining our Case Assessment Clinical Team (CACT) in NSW, you will be part of a specialist multidisciplinary team supporting SRSS participants with complex needs, including individuals transitioning from custody as well as those already living in the community (such as community detention). You will support participants to manage complex psychosocial needs, while working closely with internal teams and external providers to support stability and community integration. As a Psychologist, you will engage in assessment, intervention and consultation with participants of our Status Resolution Support Service (SRSS) who present with complex and intersecting needs, including mental health concerns, complex trauma, substance use disorder, offending histories and visa-related stressors. The role also supports SSI’s SRSS staff through guidance on complex case management, care planning and referrals to specialist services. This is not a traditional, structured therapeutic role; instead, you’ll thrive in a dynamic environment where flexibility is essential, and no two days are the same. This role is open to fully registered and provisional psychologists, with flexibility to work full-time or part-time. We offer a hybrid working arrangement, with 3 days per week based at our Parramatta office (pro-rated for part-time employees). Key Responsibilities Deliver culturally responsive psychological and psychosocial assessments, interventions and consultations for individuals with complex needs Undertake risk assessments (including suicide and violence risk), safety planning and follow-up support Contribute to complex case management and multidisciplinary decision-making by working closely with client’s case manager and other stakeholders that maybe involved with client. Provide reports, assessments and referrals as required Support partners, families and children of participants where appropriate Maintain accurate, timely and compliant clinical records Assist in the development and delivery of training and education initiatives Participate in ongoing evaluation of clinical outcomes About You You are a thoughtful and values‑driven Psychologist who is confident working with complexity and culturally diverse communities. You bring strong clinical judgement, sound communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary environments. You are a proactive team player who builds trusted relationships and contributes positively to shared goals.
