Bid Management plays a key role within our organisation, with a strong contribution to the success of our sales function. We are looking to hire a motivated, enthusiastic, and commercially minded Bid Manager who has around three years’ experience, ideally gained within a software solutions or services environment. This role would suit someone looking to step up and further develop their bid management career. You will support and coordinate the development of proposals, bids, and sales documentation that clearly articulate MRI’s products and services in response to client requests. The role is highly collaborative and will involve working closely with colleagues across sales, presales, marketing, finance, legal, and product teams to ensure content is accurate, well-structured, and delivered on time. You will also gain exposure to customer feedback and prospect enquiries, contributing insights that help inform MRI’s ongoing product development. RESPONSIBILITIES Support and coordinate the bid process and governance framework Assist with bid qualification activities, including bid / no-bid decision support Manage framework applications, submissions, and associated reporting Coordinate the preparation and submission of high-quality, professional bid responses within agreed timescales across our products and solutions Work with virtual bid teams and gather inputs from a range of stakeholders, including sales, marketing, pre-sales, product specialists, finance, HR, legal, and delivery teams Help ensure contributors understand their responsibilities and meet agreed deadlines Support the preparation and review of commercial aspects of bids Contribute to written proposals, including drafting and reviewing key sections such as executive or management summaries Maintain and update the bid library, including standard responses, policies, case studies, and supporting materials Use bid automation tools to encourage content reuse and continuous improvement in bid quality and efficiency Build and maintain a strong working knowledge of MRI’s solutions and the markets we serve Collaborate closely with internal teams including Marketing, Development, and Implementation Occasional domestic and international travel, including some overnight stays REQUIREMENTS Around 3 years’ experience in bid management, ideally supporting opportunities from qualification through to submission and handover Background in software solutions and/or services is highly desirable Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across teams Commercial awareness and attention to detail Clear written and verbal communication skills, including proposal writing and presentations Ability to prioritise tasks and work effectively under pressure and to deadlines Comfortable engaging with senior stakeholders when required, with support and guidance Proactive, organised, and motivated, with a willingness to learn and develop Ability to work independently while being supported by the wider team Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Salesforce.com Exposure to bid automation tools (e.g. Loopio) is advantageous but not essential WHAT MAKES THIS A GREAT OPPORTUNITY?
